We have had several great weekends lately and I am so excited that the weather has cooled and fall is in the air. Two weekends ago our friends from small group invited us to a state game. Now, I know you are thinking how did the Hines end up at Carter Finley wearing red?? I know, I know. Against my carolina blue blood we submerged ourselves in a sea of red and had a great time. They were playing Florida State and it ended up being a really good game, regardless of who you were pulling for!
The husband and I sporting our "red" at the State game!

Finally got around to decorating for fall!
Somehow I walked out of my haircut last week with bangs?! I am getting used to them and I think I like them. I don't know if I will keep them for the long haul but they have definitely been a nice change!
This past weekend we drove to Charlotte to hang out with the Chidesters and Yates for the weekend. I have been looking forward to this weekend for a while now. My heart needed some good laughter and time with these great people. Joseph, aka Josef's birthday is today so they drove from Alabama to spend the weekend in Charlotte and of course go to the Charlotte race. Friday night we all went to Maverick Rock Taco on Montford and had a blast. Saturday we got up and had a delicious breakfast and the girls took a trip to Target. It was so nice to not have an agenda and just hang out. Later that afternoon we got ready and headed out to the race track for the fall race. We definitely had a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to see them all again soon!
I also got to meet up with a special person on Sunday. A few weekends ago we went to charlotte for Siree's surprise birthday party and I got to see Dawn. Dawn is one of the most influential people in my life, as she was the one that basically led me to the Lord. I had grown up in church but at a time in high school when I needed the Lord's love and a little encouragement and direction, the Lord put Dawn in my life. There really are no words at how special I think she really is. Time has gone by and seasons of life have come and gone but we haven't been able to see each other as much as I would have liked but sunday I was able to spend some wonderful time with her. She has so many gifts but one is being a counselor and I always feel so sharpened and refreshed after our time. I hope now that I am older and further in my walk that I can be an encouragement to her as well! I'll have to get a picture of us up on the blog :)
Sara and I obviously thought something was really funny
