this and that

i thought that i would finally get some semi-par pictures up on the blog showcasing our new floors!  i say semi-par simply because they were taken on my iphone (which i finally got a new working one) so bare with me on the quality.  i haven't quite mastered taking pictures that actually look proportional to the real space but maybe i'll whip out the nice camera this weekend and snap some of the living room that might not look quite so "we have everything jammed up against the back wall" looking.

here is the best "before" shot, ha or the only shot i took before the installation.  i was so ecstatic that they were getting installed that i totally forgot to take more pictures.

and here is the after!  the foyer area looks so much better and flows into the living room.  yahh for no more faux stone vinyl...and yes those are still my christmas cards hanging on the wall.  i love looking at all the faces on the cards when i come in and yes i know it's almost april...

here is another crummy picture but you can get the idea of the living room.  this pic was taken shortly after we got the furniture back in place and layed the rug so don't judge.   it looks better now that all my knick knacks are back in place.  i purchased the rug from rugsusa.com and i was very pleased!  we got it for a great price and it came super fast.

here is miss ellie may robinson or george or whatever i feel like calling her at the moment.  this poor dog has so many names but nonetheless she is the cutest brown nosed thing i have ever seen!

AND... the husband and i are beyond thrilled that we now are the proud owners of a boat.  it's not a big one but just the right size for me, the husband and mutt to putt around the water.  all these years of living miles from the water with no boat and finally now  we can go anytime!  i am excited for this summer and being able to take family and friends when they visit to do what keeps me in this city.  going out in the intercoastal waterways and docking on one of the islands away from the crowds is one of my fav things to do here.  now i can share that with others when they come visit sans the jacket of course because it is already warm!
