This weekend was jammed packed with lots of birthday love and fun! We had such a good weekend and I thought I would share some of the pictures! Friday morning I woke up to a sweet little surcie (otherwise known as surprise/gift to those that are unfamiliar with "surcie" and oh am I sorry if you are :) from Kyle. I had been wanting this:

and much to my surprise it was on the counter with a sweet little card and new beach towel. Perfect little pre-summer gift. Friday night Tara, Emily and I signed up to do a paint session at Wine and Design. It was super fun! If you haven't ever done this and you enjoy painting you must try it. Great girls night and they even have date night for couples. I think they have them in Charlotte and Raleigh and of course Wilmington just got one because that's just how we roll. Here is a picture of us "pre paint".
Here I am hard at work, clearly lost as to what I am supposed to be doing! We kept looking at each other laughing because we would either catch each other looking way too serious and concentrating way too much or just flat out laughing. Emily even managed to break rule #2 with "don't dip your paintbrush in your wine glass!" The artist made everything look so simple of course. We all laughed at how we were just supposed to mix a little white and dab it here and highlight those legs with coral, ha. How do you make coral again??
And voila! Here are the final products. Cute little blue crabs. Now, I know what you're thinking. They can't paint like that. And in fact you are right but there is just something about having a little wine and being shown step by step!
Saturday morning we ventured down to the Battleship field for Paw Jam 2011. This is a just a local festival that benefits local shelters/rescues where everyone brings their dogs and they have live music and vendors. As you can see Ellie enjoyed the mess out of tons of people, water and other dogs. There was lots of "goosing" for ellie may to do!
Saturday night a group of wonderful friends joined us at none other than Indochine for some amazing Thai food and fun! I had to document the menu and "allagash white" because I never come to Indochine without having an Allagash white for some reason. It was delicious as usual! I didn't get any other pictures at dinner, I guess because I was so focused on the food.

The weekend was perfect! Thanks everyone for all of the birthday love :)
