who's excited?

Do you see those lovely pink beauties to the left? Gorgeous right? Azaleas. We have about 14 bushes of azaleas in our yard and they are beautiful...for like 2-3 weeks of the year. Then they go back to looking like "why don't you do something to that yard of yours". Anyhow, the city of Wilmington loves these flowers hence our "Azalea festival" that we have every year. Well, it is coming up this weekend, 64th annual north carolina azalea festival. There are lots of activities that go on like parades, fireworks, garden viewing and concerts. The 4 hour long parade in which you watch all of Wilmington and surrounding cities' young women ride around in massive dresses is fun and all BUT this year the Avett Bros are playing! Kyle and I have tickets that were graciously given to us as a Christmas present. We are super excited about the show and it should be a beautiful weekend to enjoy the festival! Image credit here
