"the house"

I feel like most of my conversations recently have been centered around this house. I really truely hoped in the bottom of my heart that I would be sitting here on this 14th day of August ready to type good news about how I love being in my new house.

Well thats not exactly the case. Last week after all the other drama that had already occurred, the bank decided that the house needs to be hooked up to city sewer, which after it was all said and done was a $1200 request. Thankfully we haven't gotten stuck with the full bill but man what a rollercoaster. I can say that throughout everything, all the renovations in my mind and all of the worrying about what it is going to look like have all subsided to the fact that I will be just happy to have a house. period. The Lord has definitely taught me a lot throughout the process and that I am happy for. I will write more about that later.

Anyways, my summer has almost come to an end. Teacher work days start Monday and while I have some excitement I definitely feel like the summer has come and gone quickly. I hope this year goes much smoother since I have my first year under my belt. I will definitely update as soon as I know something about the house. I feel like a broken record with the bad news but I'm trying to stay optimistic and see everything as a learning experience. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
