memorial weekend!

Yaah for memorial day!  We spent lots of fun with the chidesters and yates this past weekend in fort mill.  I was so excited that we were able to see the yates (all the way from alabama) and get to spend some time with the chidesters!

Friday, Kyle and I took off a little early and got in to Charlotte around dinner time.  The whole time I was thinking how glad I was that I was not heading the opposite direction towards the beach because it looked miserable the whole way.  Earlier in the week I made reservations for everyone at the Roosters downtown so my bro Drew could wait on us.  It was so fun going downtown and seeing him in action.  He is quite the server these days!

Of course I was so busy eating and chatting that I didn't get to snap any pictures friday night.
Saturday we got up at the crack of dawn (because that's how the chidesters do things) ok, well it wasn't quite the crack of dawn but we were ready and geared up at the pool with pool punch in hand by 9:30!  The whole weekend was so greatly planned by Sara that I felt like I didn't have to worry about a thing.  We had a blast at the pool and got some much needed sun and girl talk like future baby names, jesus, family issues..you know the usual girl stuff...

Here are the boys glistening in the sun...sorry John...your eyes are closed but this was the only one I had!

Sunday we headed to the coca cola 600!  I actually started off the day with a run with Sara and the husband which was great despite the heat.  We ended our run at the starbucks in Baxter and sat outside and talked while we cooled off.  This was prob one of my fav times of the weekend.  I love slowing things down and sitting outside and enjoying one another!  Of course Kyle and Josef were ecstatic about the race.  Em and I certainly enjoy the races and wear our headsets like the rest of them!

Here is Em and I wearing our headsets... because we are real nascar fans and yes that is a Junior koozie in my hand

John and Sara didn't join us this time for the race but I think we almost have them talked in to the fall Bank of America 500 in October!  John did do an awesome job babysitting the pups though :)

We had an awesome time and always love staying with the chids!!
